Academics and NEP-2020 Implementation
Introduction:
Ashokrao Mane Group of Institutions (AMGOI) is known for its commitment to high-quality education and new ideas in teaching. The institute became academically autonomous in 2025-26, allowing us to design our own curriculum. This freedom helps us create courses that match the changing needs of industries and businesses. Our goal is to promote research, build knowledge, and shape responsible professionals through various educational initiatives.
Key Academic Initiatives at AMGOI:
- Choice Based Credit System (CBCS): AMGOI follows CBCS, giving students the freedom to choose subjects based on their interests and career plans.
- In-Semester Evaluation: We use innovative teaching methods for in-semester evaluations, helping students get a complete learning experience.
- Experiential Learning: We focus on practical learning, so students can apply what they study and gain real-world experience.
- Online MOOC Courses: Students and faculty can enroll for online courses (MOOCs) to improve their knowledge and skills in various areas.
- Participative Learning through competitions: AMGOI promotes student involvement in both in-house and external technical competitions. These activities help students develop creative thinking, teamwork, and practical skills through active and hands-on learning.
- Continuous Evaluation System: Our rules and regulations are regularly updated for evaluating student performance to align industry standards and best practices.
- Curriculum Based on AICTE Guidelines: Our curriculum is carefully designed as per the guidelines of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), ensuring high quality and relevance.
- Skill Development Programs: AMGOI regularly conducts skill development programs to enhance students’ technical and professional abilities. These programs include workshops, hands-on training, certifications, and industry-led sessions. A large number of students actively enroll in these programs to improve their skills and increase their employability.
Implementation of National Education Policy (NEP-2020) at AMGOI
In alignment with our commitment to educational excellence and innovation, AMGOI has adopted the provisions of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 for the 2025–2030 batch across all programs. This forward-looking initiative underscores our dedication to providing a holistic, flexible, and future-ready education that equips students to thrive in a dynamic global environment.
The integration of NEP 2020 is designed to enrich the academic experience at AMGOI by enhancing the relevance, quality, integration and collaboration of knowledge, methods, and perspectives from multiple disciplines. Through this strategic implementation, AMGOI aims to emerge as a model institution, promoting academic excellence and student-centric learning.
